Opening Act by Mutant post-apocalyptic hybrid, Schkeuditzer Kreuz and Siberian-Canadian trained operatic singer & multi-intstrumentalist SUBTERRANEA.
我們非常榮幸於 5 月 13 日 為您帶來來自英國的傳奇暗黑工業先驅 - ATTRITION 首次的香港公演，亦是他們2024年新專輯The Black Maria的全球巡迴演出的香港站。
開場表演由變異的後世界末日混合體Schkeuditzer Kreuz和西伯利亞-加拿大藉的歌劇訓練歌手兼多樂器演奏家SUBTERRANEA領頭演出。

ATTRITION are pioneers in what has become known as darkwave. Formed in 1980 by Martin Bowes and Julia Waller in Coventry, England influenced by a mix of punk ideology and experimental art aesthetics, they emerged as part of the early ’80’s UK Industrial scene alongside contemporaries Test Department, Coil, Legendary Pink dots, In The Nursery, Portion Control et al.
Attrition’s music has featured on countless releases - from 1984’s “Bullshit detector 3” on Crass records to the hugely successful “Animal liberation” album alongside Siouxsie & the Banshees, The Smiths, Nina Hagen & Lene Lovich etc... Their song “Acid Tongue” featured on KTEL’s Industrial story CD - a who’s who of industrial music with Cabaret Voltaire, Throbbing Gristle, Ministry, Nitzer Ebb, Neubauten et al...In Germany Orkus magazine’s Best of the 90’s collection featured their darkwave classic “A girl called harmony”...

Variously termed “Industrial Synth Crust”, “D-beat Raw Synth Punk”, and “One human and some machines making noise, in the face of it all”, Schkeuditzer Kreuz is a mutant post-apocalyptic hybrid, at the intersection between hard, mechanical noise and the comparatively raw, organic materials of hardcore, crust, and d-beat punk. It is a noise wrought from the anguish and despair of Antipodean punk veteran Kieren Hills, from a cabin that he built in the Blue Mountains of New South Wales, Australia. Since 2020, Schkeuditzer Kreuz has released two full- length studio albums: Isolated and Alone (2021) and No Life Left (2023) on Australia’s Bad Habit Records, alongside a raft of singles, videos, EPs, split-releases, compilation tracks, and remix collaborations. The third Schkeuditzer Kreuz album, Swan Grinder, is now in post-production, being mastered by UK industrial pioneer Martin Bowes (ATTRITION / The Cage Studios).

SUBTERRANEA is a music from under the ground: haunting, possessing, earthly, with the sound that has a body and a voice of its own. Darkness and primordial, underground caves, lakes and stone-laden paths is where SUBTERRANEA finds its roots. Cold, wet reverberated vocals, damp and throbbing tribal drum beats, reflective, aerial and hollow synths and distorted, earthly bass lay the foundation of the sound that you hear in your strangest dreams.
SUBTERRANEA finds its inspiration in world folklore, mythology, chthonic spaces, lovecraftian horror, the visions of the end of the world and decline of humanity.
The music of SUBTERRANEA could serve as a soundscape to the silent splendor of abandoned castles, deserted temples, and decaying bones.
SUBTERRANEA’S first full-length record KINGDOMS FALL was released through Electric Bat Records on September 21, 2017. Ever since, SUBTERRANEA has been travelling the world from Hawaii to Auckland and Japan, singing to live ancient mythologies and nightmarish visions.
