The Xevarion Institute was conceived in 2019 to promote and support avant-garde art in Hong Kong and China, encouraging local artists and audiences alike to expand their conception of what art can be, or do, by fomenting opportunities for new works -whether new to the world or new to the local audience -to be created and experienced. The Catalyst gallery and 3rd Wave educational programme are both extensions of that principle, to create a cultural locus where we provide focuses and opportunities to materialise ideas and bridging otherwise mutually exclusive art forms to build a diverse artistic spectrum for new perspectives to emerge and flourish - an experiment inviting Hong Kong based and international artists, musicians and individuals with affinity for unique art experience.
